What To Do If...   >   Your Child Needs Preparation For Sacraments


Infant Baptism
(children under 7 years old)

This Sacrament takes place every month. In order to receive this Sacrament we require that one of the parents come to the office or Hospitality Desk and pick up the English (blue) or Spanish (yellow) Baptism pk. It includes details and dates of registration, preparation classes and Baptism celebration. Parent and Godparents are required to attend classes. Christian Initiation for Children CIC
(7 years old or older & never been baptized)

This process is for the families whose child (ren) over the age of seven years old wish to celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist (Communion), and Confirmation. Also for those baptized in other Christian Denominations and wish to receive First Communion and Confirmation in the Catholic Church.  This process takes two years and the child has to participate in our regular Religious Education classes besides Sacramental Preparation (accompanied with parents) according to their school level.

Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist (Communion)
For 2nd through 5th grades.


This process is for the children that must have completed one year (Fall/Spring) of Elementary Religious Education classes the immediate year prior to signing up for Sacramental preparation. In order to be prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion during spring or fall, the child has to participate in the regular Religious Education besides Sacramental Preparation (accompanied with parents). If your child is in a Catholic School or in another Parish you will have to provide a letter.
