On Monday, June 9, 2008, Cardinal DiNardo issued a proclamation regarding communion services in the Archdiocese.  Among other things, it said the following:

 

-         The normal place for reception of Communion is in the context of the celebration of Mass.

-         If a mass is celebrated at one time during a given day, it is not appropriate to have a Communion service at a different time on the same day.

-         Parishes should make available the mass times of neighboring parishes instead of scheduling multiple Communion services.

-         The Liturgy of the Hours (Morning and Evening prayer) is the official daily worship of the Church, and is being encouraged instead of Communion services.

 

St. Cyril will be implementing this policy beginning in the month of July.  Our parish weekday liturgy schedule will be:

 

Mon – Sat: Morning Prayer, 8:15 a.m., Chapel

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday:  Mass in English, 12:15 p.m.

Wednesday:  Bilingual mass, 6 p.m.

Mon – Thurs: Evening prayer, 9:00 p.m., Chapel
